Expressing Thanks

Lately, I have been striving to increase my thankfulness for others. Whether someone opens the door for me at school or my coworker helps me stack dishes, I try to express how grateful I am. This action does not come naturally to me; my mind tends to focus on the negative rather than the positive. Yet, I believe all habits can be corrected.

Most people tend to think of a graduation party as a celebration of one person: the graduate. I hope to change that. I've decided that I want my graduation party to be a celebration that is focused on the many people from my church, school, and community who have invested in me. I want to thank them for the love and patience they've shown me.

One way in which I plan to express my gratitude is by writing thank you notes to teachers, family members, and friends. I will write some of these notes before I graduate and some after I graduate. I started a list of people I would like to thank and, so far, it looks like I have 273 thank you notes to write. {I'm excited, but a bit overwhelmed by the idea. I've already started on some of them.} Kace Martin from DesigningMoments offered to help me reach my goal by sending me a package of beautiful, rustic thank you notes.

I absolutely love Kace's thank you notes for several reasons. The typography is excellent and the white letters stand out against the brown paper. The white ink is raised, creating a neat texture that stands out in comparison to other thank you notes I've purchased in the past. And, the brown paper matches the theme colors of my party (brown and pink).

The simple design, quality paper, and raised ink make this card a winner in my eyes. I am so excited to use them to thank all of the people who have made a difference in my life.

If you are interested in purchasing these thank you notes or another one of Kace's creations, check out her Etsy shop here.
