Jackson Brown's quote is one of my all time favorites. Every time I read it, I ask myself three big questions. Am I sitting on the outskirts of the dance floor waiting for opportunity to ask me to dance? Or am I on the dance floor, dancing my heart out? Is opportunity watching me dance and thinking, Wow! She's ready to meet me."Opportunity dances with those already on the dance floor." - Jackson Brown
Often, I sit on the sidelines of life waiting for the perfect set of circumstances to magically pop into my life. I wait. And wait. And wait some more. Guess what? The circumstances never magically pop into my life. Surprise, surprise. Yet when I position myself to encounter opportunity, things just seem to fall into place.
After learning this lesson the hard way, I'd love share my best advice with you.
First, treat everyday like it's a beautiful dance. Dress in a way that will catch opportunity's attention. Walk with alluring confidence. Dance with a smile on your face and freedom in your feet. Be ready for opportunity.
Don't wait until you have the perfect circumstances to dance. Dance now. If you dream of being class valedictorian, don't wait until you have a quiet environment or high tech calculator to start studying. Study now. Opportunity will follow. If you dream of being a photographer, don't wait until you have a thousand dollar camera to start taking pictures. Use your cell phone or whatever piece of technology you have to start taking pictures. Opportunity will follow. If you dream of being a football quarterback, don't wait until you are strong and fast to join the team. Start lifting weights and join the team now. Opportunity will follow.
Believe in yourself. Opportunity will follow.

Part Two
(The following review correlates with the words above, but I think it deserves to have a special section of its own.)AngieheartsJared recently sent me a package of 50 brown paper confetti hearts. I was thrilled, to say the least. You see, I love confetti. It is so much fun to sprinkle around the room for a party. Kids love it. Adults love it. Confetti is awesome because it makes people smile.
I had been searching the Internet high and low for some confetti to decorate the tables at my graduation party. I had two criterion for the confetti. 1.) It had to be pretty. 2.) It had to be small enough that it would look like confetti and big enough that I could easily pick up the pieces by hand. (If you've ever attempted to vacuum teeny confetti stars, you'll understand what I'm saying.)
Angie's paper hearts definitely fit the bill.
For the purpose of my graduation party, these paper hearts will work perfectly. They are about the size of a quarter. The brown paper used in making the hearts is very high quality, so I don't need to worry about the hearts bending easily. They match my theme colors perfectly, and I think that they will accent the chocolate brown and pink tablecloths nicely.
Overall, I am extremely pleased with Angie's paper hearts. They are simple, pretty, and sturdy. I can't wait to use them at my graduation party.
What do you think about today's post? How did Jackson Brown's quote speak to you? Are you dancing in life or standing at the sidelines? What are your thoughts on confetti? What aspect do you like most about Angie's paper hearts?

Love that quote - I'd never heard it before. I can count so many times, like you I've sat on the sidelines waiting for opportunity... when I needed to be dancing! Love your words here - so encouraging! =)
