Melting Winter Photography

"Every storm runs, runs out of rain ... Just like every dark night turns into day" - Gary Allen
Considering that I live in the Midwest, this week's weather has been fantastic! I was able to spend a few minutes outside wearing a sweatshirt rather than my poufy winter coat. The snow has melted and the warm sun streams through the windows. I am in heaven.

Here are some of the scenes from my week.

I honestly have no clue as to why this wheel barrow is laying on its side in the middle of the yard. I thought the orange contrasted nicely with the dead grass and bare tree, so I snapped a picture.
The natural lighting on these grapes makes me giddy. The strainer of grapes was sitting right under a window, so I didn't even have to use the flash on the camera. Yay!
My heart almost stopped when I saw this sunrise. The colors were incredible. (When people ask me why I love the Midwest, I always reply, "Sunrises.") In a few minutes, the colors were gone. I was so happy I captured these stunning shades of red and yellow before they hid from the sun.
    Empty chairs. Lots of memories.
My sentimental side always gets to me in February. When I saw these salt and pepper shakers, I immediately thought of a cute, old couple. Is it weird that I get emotional over salt and pepper shakers?
Scrabble letters. Fun times with family.
A message we all need to hear sometimes.

Be adventurous today. I. Dare. You.
   Love,
   Gabrielle
